What are the four most authoritative certification bodies for best lab grown diamond certificates?

GIA Certificate of the Gemological Institute of America

GIA is the most authoritative jewelry appraisal institute in the world, and has conducted in-depth research on the color change synthesis of diamonds. The diamonds with GIA certificate can ensure that the cause of the diamond is natural and the color is natural.

The GIA certificate ensures that the cause of the diamond is natural and the color is also natural.

The impartiality is not to be questioned, including the diamond identification and grading standards are set by the GIA, has the world's first professional diamond appraisal website, every diamond after 2000 every diamond after 2000 can be checked online. Diamonds of the same grade and cut GIA certificate are the most expensive. Basically, 95% of them can pass the approval of domestic appraisal institutions.

The cut evaluation classification is very fine and the most rigorous. Grasp of clarity is also very in place, almost every diamond girdle engraved with the GIA certificate number, about The diamonds with perfect eight hearts and eight arrows effect have HA mark engraved on the girdle.

The Belgium Diamond High Council of HRD

HRD, as a diamond identification laboratory, is at the forefront of global diamond processing and testing technology and equipment research.

In addition to describing the common 4C's of diamonds, the HRD certificate also provides a detailed measurement report of the cut ratio, which is recorded on the certificate.

The biggest difference between the two is that HRD subdivides the full depth of the diamond into three categories: Girdle (Grde), Crown Height and Pavilion Depth.

They are recorded separately and are more popular in Europe.

IGI of Belgium Gemological Institute Laboratory

The cut rating of IGI certificate is still the same as that of GIA, which is very accurate. Basically, 65% of them can pass the approval of domestic appraisal institutions.

EGL of the European Gemological Institute Laboratory

EGL certificate is more accurate in grasping the clarity and cut, but the phenomenon of color I color or even the J color diamond, set as H color or even G color happens too much, and then sold at a relatively low price to greedy customers. Basically, 55% of the diamonds are approved by domestic appraisal institutions.

EGL If the color on the certificate is H color, by GIA standards may be I color, clarity VVS2 may be VS1 or VS2. Therefore, the price of diamonds with EGL certificate is much cheaper than the price of GIA certificate, sometimes half.

If you are collecting, it is best to buy GIA certified diamonds!

The GIA certificate of credibility has been recognized by the international consensus, not only the quality of the diamond is strongly guaranteed, but also can be recognized by the global proof.

What are the famous international jewelry appraisal organizations? What is the difference?

There are three most authoritative international diamond organizations, namely IGI, GIA and HRD

IGI:

The International Gemological Institute (IGI), founded in 1975 in Antwerp, Belgium, the world's diamond center, is currently the world's largest independent jewelry appraisal laboratory, with a total of 12 laboratories in the world's major diamond trading and consumption centers, known as " the authoritative appraisal institute around the consumer".

As the only truly cross-continental global laboratory among the three authorities, IGI has excelled in meeting the challenge of a high degree of uniformity in the standards of each laboratory, and its high degree of stability is widely respected by the industry, with famous international brands such as Mont Blanc, Cartier and many famous domestic brands choosing IGI to provide appraisal or training services.

The IGI certificate is well-made and provides detailed and intuitive information, and the laser engraving on the girdle of the diamond is photographed and printed on the certificate. Other photos such as eight stars and eight arrows and nine stars and one flower avoid the tedium of listing data on the certificate and make it easy for consumers to identify and check the diamonds they buy.

GIA.

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) was founded in Los Angeles in 1931 and introduced the concept of the 4C grading system for diamonds in 1953.

Later, the system was refined and promoted by the three institutions together, and gradually developed into the diamond grading system we are familiar with today.

GIA has one diamond laboratory in California and one in Los Angeles, and a colored gemstone laboratory in Thailand; its current president is Donna Baker, the only female president in GIA's history.

GIA's funding is mainly contributed by jewelers and other industry professionals, and although it is a non-profit organization, its appraisal fees are the highest among the three major organizations, and consumers must pay a higher fee for the GIA diamond they purchase.

The GIA certificate lists detailed information and data about the diamond, but it is more difficult for consumers to identify the diamond they are buying based on the information on the certificate.

HRD:

The Diamond High Council HRD, Hoge Raad Voor Diamant, was founded in Antwerp in 1973 with the mandate to promote Antwerp as a diamond center as a trade body, and the appraisal certificate service started in 1976, one year after the IGI.

Due to the conflict between the for-profit appraisal business and the functions of the non-profit trade association, the original HRD was reorganized and established as the Antwerp World Diamond Center, AWDC, while its appraisal department was separated as the only for-profit department and continued to carry out its certificate business under the name of HRD, which is what we know today as HRD.

Its certificate information is not as detailed as the previous two, and the workmanship is relatively not very sophisticated.
